What this event is about
The EKO Acropolis Rally Greece, starting in 1951, evolved from a marathon endurance event into a WRC staple in 1973. Known as the "Rally of Gods," its rough gravel stages and extreme heat make it one of the toughest. Based in Lamia since 2021, it features jagged tracks through Central Greece's mountains, demanding vehicle durability and driver skill. Iconic stages like Tarzan and Elatia highlight its heritage. After absences, it returned in 2021, blending ancient spectacle—like starts under the Acropolis—with modern challenges. Legends like Walter Röhrl and Colin McRae have won here, cementing its status as a rallying icon.
